The Ithaca Auditorium (first floor of Brisbane City Hall) features a smooth wooden dance floor, high quality sound system, air conditioning and a wonderful stage for Tango Bardo's performances. The DJs will also be projecting on the large screen on the stage. Tables and seats available in the dance venue and in the foyer. Vendors will be selling DNI shoes, Gisela Vidal jewellery and Wendy Dear tango dresses on Friday and Saturday. Food and drinks to be served in the foyer. Parking is available in Brisbane CBD Secure Parking. All Gala Milongas from Friday 28th to Sunday 30th will be held in this venue.
University of Queensland
The GHD Auditorium (Engineering Building 49) in St. Lucia is a beautifully designed hall in the heart of the University of Queensland chosen for his comfortable setup, wooden floors and view on UQ Lakes. The venue features comfortable seating, air-conditioning, high quality speakers system and wooden floors. Parking is available on campus. Tango Bardo and Cynthia & Sebastian will be performing here on Sunday 23rd of July.
Element Collective Dance Studio
For the 23+ hours of workshops during the Festival we chose the comfort of this great dance studio in Fortitude Valley, moments driving from the Brisbane City Hall and other amenities. The venue features dance wooden floors, air-conditioning, cash bar and much more. This venue is central to Brisbane's well known Fortitude Valley which offers a number of restaurants and bars. It is also minutes walking to the Institute of Modern Art (venue for the Prosecco Reception event). Parking available at Secure Parking. All workshops will take place in this venue on 17 McLachlan St, Fortitude Valley QLD 4006.
Institute of Modern Art
A beautiful modern art museum and venue to some of our previous events (e.g. Musicality Workshops). We have chosen it for the Prosecco Reception to offer dancers and non-dancers a way to socialise in this inspiring space. Join us on Thursday 28th for a night with the community. Rumba Restaurant
