Amelia Rambe & Matthew Ferrol are a dance couple from Jakarta, Indonesia, and the founders of Java Tango Indonesia. They have been dancing together since May 2013, always embodying elegance, energy, and passion in their performances.

Rina & Nadim
Melborne, Australia
Owners of Tango Esencia Studio in Melbourne, Rina & Nadim are invited to teach and perform at many events, both nationally and internationally. They have danced in the prestigious dance halls of Buenos Aires, and regularly teach and perform at Tango festivals around Australia. Recognised for their clarity of communication in their comprehensive method of teaching, the enthusiasm and joy they bring to their classes and dance is contagious. They are recognised for their connection in the dance, and smooth and musical expressions.

Nadim is a highly regarded Tango DJ, with his background in music from his youth. Rina is also known for her Tango for Parkinson's work, teaching Tango to those living with Parkinson's. Her work has been shown on national TV such as on ABC Catalyst and on Lateline.

A musical and elegant tango partnership
Silvina Tse & Julio Alvarez are a dynamic and internationally renowned tango couple, celebrated for their elegant style, deep musicality, and innovative teaching.
Silvina’s journey began with a foundation in rhythmic gymnastics, swimming, hip-hop, ballet, and modern dance, which cultivated her precision, creativity, and adaptability.
After discovering her love for Argentine tango in 2009, she devoted herself entirely to mastering the dance, training with world-class teachers in Italy and Argentina. Her civil engineering background informs her structured and detail-oriented approach, while her artistic sensibilities bring grace and expressivity to her dance.

With his deep understanding of music, bolstered by studies in piano and bandoneón, Julio developed a groundbreaking approach to teaching tango musicality that merges his Cuban heritage with traditional tango techniques.
As a couple, Silvina & Julio complement each other perfectly, merging their rich backgrounds into a seamless partnership. Their dance is marked by expressive interpretations, intricate musicality, and a profound connection that captivates audiences worldwide.

They have performed and taught in over 20 countries, sharing their expertise at renowned festivals and events. Their teaching approach fosters individuality and artistry, helping students develop a solid foundation while exploring their personal style.
Based in Italy, the duo regularly teaches in Bologna, where they lead classes and workshops while continuing to inspire and connect with tango communities globally
through performances, seminars, and innovative projects.

Paula & Lucas
Catarmarca, Argentina
Paula Tejeda & Lucas Carrizo, originally from Catamarca, Argentina, have been immersed in tango since their teenage years. As a young couple in love, they made the life-changing decision to move to Buenos Aires to pursue their tango careers. Their journey led them to the highest levels of achievement, winning the 2010 Metropolitan Tango Championship in the Tango category and placing as runners-up in Vals. They have performed in Miguel Ángel Zotto’s renowned production, TangoX2, touring extensively across Italy and Greece. Their passion for tango has taken them worldwide, teaching and performing in China, Hong Kong, Korea, Japan, the USA, Canada, and various countries in Europe.

Their teaching method embraces tango as a holistic art form, integrating communication, musicality, technique, movement, structure, culture, history, and the social essence of the dance. They emphasize the embrace (abrazo) as the foundation of connection, teaching flexibility to adapt to movement and music. Their approach blends technical and musical exercises to develop muscle memory and expand movement vocabulary. They highlight the importance of structure as the logical framework of tango, ensuring dancers build a strong foundation, much like constructing a solid building that reaches for the sky.

Understanding tango music is central to their method, as dance and music are inseparable. Paula & Lucas teach movements within the context of music, helping dancers interpret different orchestras and develop their unique expression.
